Yahoo Messenger Beta 9 ~ Updated
A fresh new look for YIM, my favorite instant messaging program. Some useful new features & Vista compatibilty is what you get with this update. It’s still in beta, but very stable for the past couple of months. It’s been updated to v9.0.0.1389. A few bug fixes and a slightly altered look!
Yahoo Go 3 Beta ~ Updated
Yahoo Go 3 Beta for most new phones is out. The big improvement here is the ability to remove any of the stock kit widgets & I’ve noticed a bit a of a performance increase over the previous version. For those that don’t know what it is, it’s mobile phone program that brings together quite a few widgets from Yahoo’s Information Technology sites & programs. This is my one must have application on my phone! I fully expect to see a game module or some sort of online casino module soon (hopefully not from Yahoo though). The possibilities are endless. Small update again today. The Cell positioning works now…along with my news threads. There are more recently used locations listed…before it was just 1. Also, it’s a bit snappier, but not much else new. Some windows mobile phones are now supported!
Yahoo AutoSync
If you use Yahoo for your e-mail, then you want ensure you have Yahoo AutoSync to keep your address book & calendar between your Yahoo account & your phone are synced.
Yahoo Widgets v4.5.1
Mac’s have some widgets for some time now. Vista was the first Microsoft OS to have them natively, but they’re not all that great. Yahoo Widgets works with both & has a great deal of variety.
Flickr Uploader 3.05
If you use Flickr, then you might want to go get their latest Photo Uploader. It has lots of new features to upload your pics.
Yahoo Toolbar (IE: v7.1.1 ~ FF: v1.5.1)
Yahoo Toolbar gives you access to your bookmarks on any computer. I’ve been using it for about 9 years. This is just a maintenance update, but I’m hopeful that a more feature rich version will come out soon.
